Convert an existing rental
Use Make open-ended when an existing fixed-end rental needs a weekly or monthly price. The booking keeps its vehicle, documents and history. Its previous end date becomes the planned return, and its fixed total is replaced by the recurring price.
Make the change
- Enable Open-ended rentals in Settings → Pricing.
- Open the booking and find Make open-ended near its booking details and creation date.
- Choose Weekly or Monthly and enter the agreed recurring price. Review the suggested price rather than accepting it without checking your agreement.
- For monthly billing, choose the billing periods from the rental’s start day or a set day of each month.
- Under Count rent from, choose the rental start or Another day. Use another day when the earlier rental was already paid outside Nomora. No rent, invoice or revenue is counted in Nomora for days before that billing start.
- Confirm the conversion, then review the booking’s recurring rate, planned return and amount due. Set up period payments or automatic invoices as needed.
Choosing the original rental start makes every period since that date owed until its payment is recorded. For a rental already running for months, check the billing start before confirming.
When conversion is unavailable
Nomora refuses conversion if rent is already recorded on the booking, if it is paid or partially paid, or if it is a lease or ended rental. Assign a vehicle and resolve any undecided booking request first.
Priced extras, location fees and discounts also prevent conversion because they would be lost when the fixed total is replaced. The dialog explains what needs changing. If rent is already recorded, end the existing booking and create an open-ended one for the rest of the rental instead.
Signed documents and issued invoices keep their original contents. The conversion does not rewrite them. If you choose a later billing start, earlier days also stop contributing revenue in Nomora’s reports.
