Invoice status and corrections

Find issued invoices in Finances → Invoices. Check the provider, invoice number, status and email information before changing a record.

Understand the status

StatusWhat it tells you
DraftThe invoice exists, but has not been marked sent or paid. A built-in draft already has a number and PDF.
SentThe invoice has been sent. For built-in numbering, downloading its PDF also counts as sending. This does not prove the customer has paid.
PaidSomeone marked the invoice paid, or a supported provider status update marked it paid.
CancelledThe record remains, but is cancelled. A cancelled built-in invoice cannot be reopened or emailed.

Use Mark Paid only after you have confirmed payment. It changes the invoice status and can mark ordinary linked bookings completed and paid. It does not add a payment transaction to the booking’s payment list. Record the payment there when you need the receipt included in your payment records.

Automatic period invoices behave differently. Marking one paid keeps the open-ended rental running and does not record a rental payment or advance its paid-through date. Record the period’s payment separately if it arrived by bank transfer or cash.

For Invoice123 invoices, use the status-sync action in Finances → Invoices to fetch the provider’s current statuses.

Correct a built-in invoice

An issued built-in invoice keeps the buyer, seller, lines, language and tax details it had when generated. Editing the booking or company settings does not change its PDF.

If it is an unsent draft with the newest number in its series, a user with invoice deletion permission can delete it and generate a corrected invoice. Nomora returns that number to the series.

Once you download or email the PDF, that deletion is refused. An older draft, sent invoice or cancelled invoice also keeps its number. For an unpaid invoice, use Cancel invoice, then generate the corrected invoice. The cancelled record stays listed.

Cancelling or deleting an ordinary invoice returns its linked bookings to Confirmed, unless another live invoice still covers them. Running open-ended rentals keep their status.

The current invoice list does not offer Cancel invoice on a paid built-in invoice. Contact Nomora support if a paid invoice needs correcting. Nomora does not issue a formal credit note or refund money when you cancel an invoice.

Correct an Invoice123 or Monet invoice

Correct or cancel the original in the provider that issued it. Deleting its record in Nomora leaves the invoice in Invoice123 or Monet. Complete the provider’s correction first, then update the records in Nomora as needed.

Correct a recurring period invoice

Cancelling or deleting a period invoice leaves the rental’s status alone. Its period remains cancelled, so automatic invoicing will not recreate it. Review the period and issue a replacement manually when needed. A shared invoice can cover several rentals, so check all its lines before correcting it.
