Edit, extend, copy, and cancel
Open the booking from Bookings, Calendar, or the command palette. Each section has its own edit control; save the section you changed before moving on.
Edit the rental period
- In Rental period, click the pencil.
- Change the pickup or return date and time, location, or booking status.
- Click the tick to save. The cross discards the section’s unsaved edits.
- Review the updated price and payment balance, then update any document that needs the new details.
Use the customer and company sections to select the correct records. Use their record edit actions to correct contact information. Changes to a shared customer or company record can affect other bookings using it.
Extend a fixed-date rental
Edit Rental period and move the return date and time. Save, resolve any availability conflict shown, and check the price summary. Review equipment charges and the agreed distance allowance too. An extension can leave an additional amount due; it does not itself charge the customer or refund an overpayment.
Update the agreement or other affected documents so the customer has the agreed period. Customer schedule editing is a separate option for an unconfirmed, pre-rental customer link, not a way for a customer to extend an active rental.
For an open-ended booking, a planned return is a notice of when the customer expects to return. It does not close the rental. Record the actual return through check-in.
Copy a booking
- Open the original booking and click Copy in the page header.
- Choose another vehicle and confirm.
- Nomora opens the new booking. Review its dates, price, customer, company, drivers, and equipment before sending a new customer link.
Copy is for rentals with a fixed date range. The copy starts with the original period and customer details. Nomora re-quotes the target vehicle unless the original has a custom rate, which carries over. Review the result before confirming it. It starts pending with payment status pending. The original booking stays in place. Its payments, invoices, and customer link are not a payment or confirmation for the copy.
The picker excludes the original vehicle. For a later rental of the same vehicle, create a new booking rather than expecting Copy to offer that vehicle. Copy also checks the target vehicle’s availability for the copied period.
Cancel a booking
- Open Rental period and click the pencil.
- Change the status to Cancelled, then click the tick.
- Choose the cancellation reason, add a note if needed, and confirm.
The cancelled booking remains available with its cancellation information and releases its reserved capacity. Cancellation does not automatically refund a rental payment, return the deposit, or correct an issued invoice. Review those separately.
For a booking request, use Decline in the request panel instead. It uses the same cancellation record and lets you review an optional email to the customer. See requests.
Revoking a customer link only stops access through that link. Use cancellation when you need to end the booking itself. Use pickup and return to record the handover and actual return of a rental that took place.
